Two-hour introduction to grant-seeking databases: SPIN, GrantSelect, Grant Advisor Plus, and the Foundation Center. Participants will learn to search for possible funding opportunities in this hands-on workshop.

Faculty and staff often require external funding for research, teaching and creative activity. This workshop will explore how to get the most from grant seeking databases. Participants learn to search for possible funding opportunities, practice identifying eligibility, and realize the importance of key words. Attendees will have opportunities to access databases and engage in searches related to their topic of interest. Presented by Helen G. Kiss, Ph.D., Grants Specialist, Office of Sponsored Programs, and Gerald Holmes, Associate Professor and Diversity Coordinator, University Libraries.
