Description: During this session, the Instructional Technology Consultant (ITC) will assist  School of Nursing (SON) professors with the moving your course from face-2-face to Canvas Online. Preparing your courses for online access can be a daunting activity. The Canvas course checklist will be used along with covering essentials like Studio to prepare your lectures for your students. The checklist is used to ensure that your SON courses are ready to post online. Join this interactive session and learn how to navigate the Canvas environment and how to quickly incorporate your content into your Canvas courses and publish online. The ITC will assist you with any/all items on the checklist. This workshop is great if you haven’t taught online in a while, need a refresher, or new to online teaching.

By the end of this session you will:

• Clean up the Dashboard and Organize your Files
• Create Content Holders
• Incorporate syllabus content
• Identify/Create/Upload a course homepage
• Add institutional support services for students to your homepage
• Identify and integrate applicable course technology for student engagement
• Add media to your announcement, Frontpage & discussion pages using Canvas Studio
