Do you use Canvas quizzes with large question banks? Big changes are coming!

Canvas has built a completely new quiz engine to replace the quiz tool we’re accustomed to using. All “Classic” Quizzes will need to be migrated to “New Quizzes” based on Instructure’s timeline for sunsetting classic quizzes. Now is a great time to get started on this process to ensure a smooth transition.

Question banks work differently in New Quizzes, and migrating quizzes that include large question banks requires a different approach than a “standard” classic quiz migration. This session will specifically address this scenario.

By the end of this hands-on workshop, you’ll be able to:

• Migrate a “classic” quiz that includes large question banks to New Quizzes
• Test a migrated quiz before deploying it in your course

IMPORTANT NOTE:

At the time of publication, the latest information from Instructure was that development of question bank migration was underway, but not complete. We are anticipating that a solution will be in place by the time this workshop is scheduled to run, but we cannot guarantee this will be the case. Please RSVP and then, when the workshop gets closer, we will update RSVP’d participants on the status of seamless question bank migration and re-schedule the workshop if necessary.
