DESIGNING YOUR ONLINE COURSE-QUALITY MATTERS (ONLINE)
January 25, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
You are invited to participate in this online workshop taught by certified Quality Matters online facilitator Joy Pine-Thomas. This course will be offered asynchronously over a two-week time frame. You must attend and participate in this workshop in order to receive full credit.
The “Designing Your Online Course” workshop includes an overview of the QM Rubric and provides a framework for participants to design an online course plan. An integral element of the workshop is an exploration of the eight General Standards of the QM Rubric, focusing on learning objectives and overall course alignment. Participants will complete a Course Development Plan. The plan includes all of the essential Specific Review Standards (SRS) with a column for how the participant will meet the SRS in their course and what resources they will need.
You will be able to pick up your materials at a designated place on campus prior to the date of the workshop, or you can notify the facilitator if you prefer digital-only materials.
This workshop counts towards the continuing professional development requirement for online instructors. A digital certificate of completion will be provided from Quality Matters.
