Earth Day Workshop: iNaturalist and Campus Biodiversity
Join UNCG University Libraries and learn about iNaturalist, a citizen science tool for submitting observations and identifying species of plants, animals, and fungi, and how to submit your own research-grade observations. What is citizen science, you ask? We’ll learn about that too, and its importance to research in the age of big data.
The first 30 minutes of this workshop will be held in the Jackson Library CITI Lab and virtually via Zoom. At 2:30 PM, we’ll leave the library for a nature walk through Peabody Park on UNCG’s campus to find organisms to submit to iNaturalist (or identify using the Seek by iNaturalist app).
