ELC Critical Conversations: “Health, Wellness, and Graduate Student Life”

December 7, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Feeling Stressed? Isolated? Overwhelmed? Tired?

Sounds familiar?

Come join us in this workshop where we hope to engage graduate students in Critical Conversations in support of the lived experiences of graduate students that relate to the all-too-often stigmatized and individualized dimensions of Stress, Anxiety, Fatigue, Exhaustion, Substance Use, Isolation, Fear, and diminished forms of Care (personally and collectively).

We acknowledge that systems of oppression are at work in our bodies, psyches, relations, and institutions. So, we hope this workshop will be a space where we work towards more Healing, Compassion, and Interventions that may be meaningful.

Tentative Agenda:

11:00 am – 12:30 pm: Critical Conversations

12:30 pm – 1:00 pm: Break

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Healing Praxis

This workshop is open to ALL graduate students.

No registration fees. Space is limited. Parking is free in the open parking lot next to Yum Yum on Saturdays.

Free workshop resources.

Lunch will be provided – Registration is required.

(This event is sponsored by the Department of Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations in the School of Education).
