Healthy Eating on the Run with Cari Culp, RD

September 14, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Our culture is on the move! And, as a result, the use of convenience foods is on the rise. In fact, the average American eats out 6 meals a week. This may include a morning run through the drive-thru, take-out after a game, or pizza delivery. There is no shortage of opportunities to find convenient and tasty foods at every turn. However, when we consider that 6 in 10 Americans have a chronic health condition and 4 in 10 have 2 or more, we must question if this abundance is good for us. In this class, Cari will help you to become a more selective consumer when it comes to eating on the run. You will learn which foods are a go and which should be a no! You will also gain strategies that make eating healthy on the run easier and more sustainable for you.

Presented by registered dietitian, Cari Culp

Upon registration you will be asked to submit your BCBS subscriber id #. This is a free workshop provided by Cari Culp and is a contracted service through the State Health Plan. The workshop is open to those with SHP insurance and their families. Subscriber ID is needed, but you will not be charged a copay for the service. Preventative services, such as this, are covered at 100% regardless of plan. If you have any questions, don’t have BCBS, or prefer to provide another way, please contact us at healthy_uncg@uncg.edu
Attendance is required in order to receive followup materials and slides.
