Tired of your presentations looking like they were designed in the Stone Age? Want to create visuals that POP but also ensure everyone can enjoy them? Then grab your laptop (or use the provided desktops) and head over to our Graphic Design Accessibility Open Lab!

Here’s the deal:

Our Academic Technology Specialists (ATS) are throwing open their digital doors and offering their design wizardry to help YOU create stunning and accessible academic resources.

We’ll be your guides in the magical lands of:

• PowerPoint
• Google Slides
• Canva
• Adobe Express

Think of it as a design makeover for your teaching materials!

We’ll show you the secrets to:

• Choosing color palettes that won’t make your students’ eyes bleed (or cause accessibility issues).
• Finding the perfect fonts that are both stylish and easy to read.
• Creating layouts that are visually appealing and logically organized.
• Adding images and multimedia that enhance understanding (and are accessible to everyone).
• And most importantly, ensuring your designs align with accessibility standards and UDL guidelines so that ALL your students can benefit.

Bonus: You’ll get to hang out with our awesome ATS team (we’re pretty fun, if we do say so ourselves).
