Hypertension and Nutrition

Join us for a virtual nutrition workshop on Hypertension (High Blood Pressure). Whether you have been concerned for yourself or a loved one, learning more about preventing and managing hypertension will positively impact your life! Hypertension can put you at a higher risk for health complications. In the workshop you will learn more about what hypertension is and what the numbers mean.

Registered dietitian, Cari Culp will discuss nutrition and changes in overall diet, if and what supplements to take, and how to incorporate these changes into your day to better manage hypertension.
Zoom link will be emailed to you within 24-48 hours prior to the workshop.
Upon registration you will be asked to submit your BCBS subscriber id #. This is a free workshop provided by Cari Culp and is a contracted service through the State Health Plan. The workshop is open to those with SHP insurance and their families. Subscriber ID is needed, but you will not be charged a copay for the service. Preventative services, such as this, are covered at 100% regardless of plan. If you have any questions, don’t have BCBS, or prefer to provide another way, please contact us at healthy_uncg@uncg.edu
