A presentation on the hidden origins of everyday language, inclusive terms, and who they describe.  The origins of many common sayings are based in oppressive power dynamics.  As language evolves over time, the terms and identifiers used by marginalized groups to describe themselves are also ever changing.  Knowledge is power so come and get current!

Includes a 30 minute presentation and 15 minutes for discussion. Only the presentation portion will be recorded.
