Will you be teaching hybrid or online? If so, there are some professional development tools you need to meet UNCGs requirements for teaching online. During this 2-hour session, we will discuss Universal Design for Learning (UDL), online course accessibility (ADA compliance), UNCG’s Quality Matters checklist, and some general instructional design principles to keep in mind when developing online courses. Upon completion of this  session, you will receive a certificate stating you have met the guidelines for initial professional development to teach online. If you have already taught online, this would be a good way to add additional tools to your course(s) and add this course towards your 8 hours of professional development!

This session is offered by Joy Pine-Thomas, PhD., Instructional Technology Specialist for the School of Nursing, and although anyone may attend, it will be targeted to SON faculty. Please bring a laptop if you want hands-on practice.
