Teaching Online with Canvas in SOE

March 12, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 pm

Audience: Instructors in the School of Education

When classroom instruction is interrupted due to disasters and emergencies, it is important to have alternative methods and tools in place to aid you in continuing class activities at a distance.

Although your class activities may vary depending on the subject matter and your teaching methods, there are still some core categories of class activities that you can consider when teaching in an online environment.

Join Instructional Technology Consultants (ITC’s) in the School of Education (SOE), to learn more about how you can leverage the services, support, and tools available in the School of Education and at UNC Greensboro to compliment the following core categories of class activities in an online environment:

  • Communicating with students
  • Delivering course content
  • Encouraging student participation: Answering questions, discussion, group work, etc.
  • Administering assignments, tests and grades

This session is intended for School of Education instructors only.
