Audience: Instructors in the School of Education

When classroom instruction is interrupted due to disasters and emergencies, it is important to have alternative methods and tools in place to aid you in continuing class activities at a distance.

In this session, Instructional Technology Consultants (ITC’s) in the School of Education (SOE) will introduce you to some of the many synchronous learning tools that are available through the School of Education and UNC Greensboro. Through hands-on experimentation, you will be given the opportunity to see how these synchronous learning tools could work in tandem with your Canvas courses to foster a positive social context for learning.

By the end of this session, you will be familiar with the following tools:

• Canvas Chat
• Webex
