February 15, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Learn about the impact of both plant-based diet and LCHP diets on atherosclerosis, the underlying cause of the number one cause of mortality: heart disease. You will learn the principles of the two dietary approaches and their impact on cardiovascular risk factors. You will also gain lifestyle strategies for dietary change to prevent the development of atherosclerosis.

This presentation is led by Cari Culp, Registered Dietitian

Upon registration you will be asked to submit your BCBS subscriber id #. This is a free workshop provided by Cari Culp and is a contracted service through the State Health Plan. The workshop is open to those with SHP insurance and their families. Subscriber ID is needed, but you will not be charged a copay for the service. Preventative services, such as this, are covered at 100% regardless of plan. If you have any questions, don’t have BCBS, or prefer to provide another way, please contact us at healthy_uncg@uncg.edu
Attendance is required in order to receive the recording and slides.
