January 20th, 12pm “Closed vs open publishing?: What are the options? How do I choose? What support is there?” by Anna Craft

Have you ever been unsure about terminology or jargon that’s used in the world of open access publishing–Gold OA? Green OA? Hybrid OA? Diamond OA? If so, this session is for you! We’ll discuss differences between open access and closed/subscription publishing, and we’ll clarify the different types of open access and offer potential reasons to select one type or method over another. We’ll also share information about open access scholarship funding and sharing options offered by the UNCG University Libraries, including financial awards, credits, and discounts.
