April 7th, 11am: “Public Opinion Polling: The Basics” by Rachel Olsen

This webinar will cover some basic information about public opinion polls: What are they? Who conducts them? Why are they important? What use do they have for students and faculty doing research? We will specifically look at Roper Center iPoll, a library database from Cornell University that UNCG faculty, staff, and students can access. There will be time for Q&A and practicing with the database. We will also briefly discuss Pew Research Center, a freely available public opinion polling website.
