SUMMARY:Copilot: Adding File-Based Context
DESCRIPTION:This session shows how adding files changes Copilot Chat’s reasoning by grounding responses in a clear source of truth. Attendees will learn when to attach files versus when to start with questions\, which file types work best\, and how to combine files with explicit instructions to improve specificity and reduce hallucination. We’ll walk through single-file and multi-file use cases\, including summarization\, rewriting\, extracting risks/action items\, and comparing or consolidating content across documents. The session closes with common mistakes to avoid and how these same skills transfer to licensed Copilot experiences across Microsoft apps.

SUMMARY:Canvas Assignments: Create\, Configure\, and Grade
DESCRIPTION:This workshop will take a closer look at assignments in Canvas. We will review the process of creating a new assignment\, configuring assignment options\, editing assignment settings\, and managing assignment access. We’ll also discuss how the Assignments Index Page (Assignments in Course Navigation) connects with the Canvas Gradebook. Quiz (Classic & New) creation and configuration is beyond the scope of this training session due to nuance in these item types\, which are most responsibly discussed in consultation. \nThis 90-minute session will include a 30 to 45-minute demo/presentation followed by dedicated time for individualized support from ITS Learning Technology staff.
