DESCRIPTION:Join Ashley O’Donnell from Dean of Students Office and Shannon Barr from ITS Learning Technology to discuss leveraging campus resources and tools to support students who are experiencing life stressors that impact their student experience\, but in a way that is more sustainable and within scope of practice for faculty. Ashley will share about the CARE Team\, an interdisciplinary team of campus staff who provide triage support for students experiencing stressors. DESCRIPTION:Not all data sources are the same\, and using the wrong one can lead to confusion—or worse\, bad decisions. This session breaks down the key data systems at UNCG\, including Banner\, ODS\, UNC Data Mart\, the Data Lake\, and others. We’ll cover how data gets entered\, where it flows\, and when to use each source.  We’ll also explore at a high level the reporting tools used to access and visualize data from different sources. \n\nUnderstand how data moves into and out of data sources used for reporting.\nUnderstand the distinction between operational and official data sources.\nRecognize that metrics can have multiple valid answers and learn when to use each.\nIdentify the key reporting tools available on campus and their best use cases.
