DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: Due to the incoming storm\, we are choosing to reschedule our QPR training session. We hope that you will consider attending the future offering as soon as we are able to find a day/time that works.  \n  \nThe QPR mission is to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative\, practical and proven suicide prevention training. The signs of crisis are all around us. We believe that quality education empowers all people\, regardless of their background\, to make a positive difference in the life of someone they know. \nParticipants completing this training will be able to: \n\nIncrease awareness of stigma and understand suicide as a public health issue\nRecognize someone at risk for suicide\nQuestion\, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal\nAccess local and national referral resources\nOffer hope\, and save a life\n\nSpace is limited for this session but if you are interested in scheduling a training for your group please contact Staff Senate and we will do our best to put you in contact with folks around campus that are certified to offer this training. \nIf you or someone you know needs support now\, call or text 988 or chat 988Lifeline.org. 988 connects you with a trained crisis counselor who can help.
