Canvas Basics for Faculty (Course 1) is a self-paced training for new faculty in the School of Nursing. A development shell will be designed for you to work in and practice using the basic tools in Canvas. You can contact the Instructional Design Consultant with any questions or issues you may have.
Canvas Basics for Faculty (Course 1) will cover:
- Course Development Strategies
- Creating a “Getting Started” module
- Creating your syllabus & adding university policies to your syllabus
- Creating assignments & adding group weights
- Creating Discussions
- Organizing Modules
- Adding a grading scheme
- Using TurnItIn for Assignments
- Checking links to ensure they are active in your course
- Using Gradebook
The class is self-paced and delivered to you upon request.
